Assalamu alaikum, I’m Musa Furber. Welcome to my (online) home.
I started studying Islam formally in 1992. My studies took me all over the world, from to Damascus and Cairo. And my teachers span from West Africa to Southeast Asia.
In that time, I’ve written and published 14 books, 18 research papers and articles, and been quoted or cited in over a dozen newspaper articles. Several of my books are taught in Islamic schools and universities.
I want to share the best of what I’ve learned with you.
You’re here because you want to know how to be a good Muslim and you care about pleasing Allah. But there’s a problem…
…it’s really hard to find accurate information about Islam online.
Either there’s way too much info and you get overwhelmed trying to figure out right from wrong. Or there’s too little information on the issues you face in your daily life and you’re left guessing about the right thing to do.
In both cases, you don’t feel confident or at-ease. On the contrary, you’re filled with confusion, anxiety, and doubt. And you wish you had a trustworthy source you can refer to, so you can finally feel confident and secure you’re doing the right thing.
On Musa’s Muftic Musings (that’s what I call my blog) you’ll find relevant articles, videos, and podcasts to help you practice your Islam confidently and with peace-of-mind.
If you want a curriculum of authentic, accurate, bias-free Islamic scholarship in English, you’ve come to the right place.
